What makes a good AI GIF prompt?

One subject, one repeating motion, a style, a camera angle and, if you want words, a caption in quotes. Short prompts with a single action loop best.

Can I copy these prompts?

Yes. Each card has a "Use this prompt" button that loads the prompt and its settings into the right generator. Change the subject to make it your own.

Do these work as GPT Image 2.6 prompts for still pictures?

Mostly. Drop the motion and loop words, switch the generator to Image mode and keep the subject, style and camera. A still picture costs 1 credit in Standard or 2 in HD.

How do I stop the subject from changing between frames?

Keep the prompt to one subject, say "still camera" or a fixed angle, and use HD. ImagenGIF already asks the model to keep colors, lighting and framing consistent across frames.

Why does my GIF jump at the end of the loop?

The motion probably has a beginning and an end. Ask for something that repeats, such as a wag, a blink, a flicker or a run in place, so the last frame flows back into the first.

Real GIFs, exact prompts

AI GIF Prompts

These AI GIF prompts are the real ones behind real GIFs made on ImagenGIF. Every card shows the finished GIF, the exact prompt and the settings, and a "Use this prompt" button that loads it into the right generator. Copy one as it is, or change the subject and keep the structure. The same prompts work as GPT Image 2.6 prompts for any animation.

The AI animation prompt formula that loops

Almost every prompt on this page follows one pattern: subject, one repeating motion, style, camera, and a caption in quotes if you want words. For example: "A corgi in sunglasses rides a skateboard, side view, ears flapping. Cartoon style. Caption: "MONDAY"."

A loop needs a cycle. A GIF replays after the last frame, so the best motions end where they began: a wag, a blink, a flicker, a run in place, a wave. A story with a beginning and an end, such as someone walking across the room, jumps back at the loop point. Ask for one motion that can repeat.

Keep it to one subject and one motion. Name the camera ("side view", "still camera") so the framing stays fixed. Put any words in quotes and in capitals so the model spells them exactly.

How to fix a GIF prompt that does not work

If the subject drifts from frame to frame, shorten the prompt to one subject, name its colors once and use HD, which keeps frames steadier. If the loop jumps at the end, replace a one-way action with a cycle, such as "runs in place" instead of "runs across the room".

If a caption is misspelled, put it in quotes and in capitals, keep it to six words or fewer and use HD. Check the spelling before you share, because a spelling slip is not refunded; only failed generations are.

Settings that pair with prompts

Frames: 12 is the default and a good fit for most loops, 8 suits a simple blink or flicker, and 16 gives the smoothest motion for 4 credits instead of 3. Speed: Slow suits calm scenes, Normal suits most, Fast suits a run or a dance.

Standard is enough for most prompts and costs 3 credits. Use HD at 6 credits when a face, a caption or fine detail has to stay identical across frames. Packs start at $4.99. From a text prompt, do not ask for real people, celebrities, copyrighted characters or logos.
